I am a writer and editor in love with the stories, people and landscape of the Canadian North. After publishing widely in magazines, newspapers and anthologies, I released my first book, Iceberg Tea, a collection of funny personal stories about life in the North, in 2010. My novel Free Love, a story about recovery from alcoholism, was released in early 2016. I am now working on a book about my own recovery from alcoholism. Learn More About Me

FREE LOVE
In the dead cold of a northern Canadian winter, 30-year-old Marissa finds herself in a detox centre, every bone in her body yearning for a drink. Free Love takes us into the heart of the recovery community in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, as Marissa struggles to find hope in a town that loves to party, where temptation and the beauty and danger of the northern wilderness are never far away.
”A moving portrait of a woman rediscovering herself … with many moments of powerful wisdom.”
– Susan Juby, Author of Nice Recovery
